Background

Bigo Live is a social media platform that enables users to livestream videos and interact with their followers in real-time. The objective is to increase the daily installs for the Bigo Live app while keeping a low fraud rate in appsflyer.

To achieve this goal, performance metrics like installs, uninstalls, and retention rates were monitored. By using this data, areas for improvement can were identified and data-driven decisions were made.

Strategy
We run the campaign on AppsFlyer targeting users who are interested in social media and live streaming apps. We also target the users who are aged between 18-35 and are interested in social media, entertainment, and live streaming.
Results
By implementing these strategies, we improve Bigo Live's data performance, achieve an uninstall rate of less than 10%, a daily install cap of 8,000+, and a D1 retention rate of 30%+.

Conclusion
By running on AppsFlyer and targeting users who are interested in social media and live streaming apps, we were able to significantly increase the number of daily installs for Bigo Live while maintaining a low fraud rate. The day 1 retention rate also increased, indicating that the users who installed the app through the campaign were more engaged with the app. By continuously optimizing the campaign, we were able to decrease the cost per acquisition, making the campaign more cost-effective.
